Unintentionally Inspiring

Good Afternoon my brothers and sisters in Christ. Guess what? I’m doing a mid-week check-in with you guys. I know you’re used to my Sunday post, but I like to switch things up sometimes. I pray you’ve spent your week thus far living intentionally and with purpose. I was having a conversation with my husband this morning, and he said something I felt would inspire you. Taking into consideration our personal conversation I will share my takeaway versus the actual ins and outs of what we spoke about. As always I pray it causes you to self-reflect and adjust where needed. Blessings.

I started my relationship journey with Jesus Christ a little over a year ago. From this journey of “self-mastery,” my company was born and so was this blog. Growing in Christ I started thinking and processing things differently. I understood the way I lived my life accompanied by the mindsets I learned from people were my default setting. Ultimately, they weren’t how God intended me to operate. Needless to say, I grew. I developed new habits, new mindsets, new processes. I began operating my life with more intent and purpose. One thing I do often is daily self-evaluations. Asking myself several questions. Is what I’m doing growing me? Is it pushing towards God? Is it challenging me to be better?

Even when it comes to my level of influence I find myself always surveying. Asking am I helping grow the person I’m in connection with? Am I pushing them towards God? Am I challenging them to be better without being overbearing? One thing I’ve learned is when you begin changing who people know you to be they notice. They silently watch, wait, and take note to the newness of you. Some of those people will meet you at the level they’re comfortable at or rise to the occasion of new discovery. It’s up to us to evaluate the value they bring and decide if we’re able to provide them with our new found value.

Whether someone gives you accolades about your growth or not you have to know they’re watching. You have to know God has attached certain people to your ministry, your purpose, and your life. Delay in your growth places a delay in theirs. So how can you be of influence? Easy! Never stop growing. Never stop challenging yourself to be better. Never stop seeking direction from God. The way we live our life has three effects on people we’re connected to. It will keep them stagnant, set them on a backward spiral towards their default setting or push them into greatness. Which role do you want in the lives of those connected to you?

To be “Unintentionally Inspiring” means choosing to live your life at a level of greatness for yourself; causing people to be inspired enough to go after their own greatness. Yes, I made that up. Lol. It’s what it means to me. Before I am anything to anyone I have to be everything to myself. People who knew me can’t recognize me now. They aren’t supposed too. We all should be at a constant state of evolving. Every day I make it a point to be better than the day before. Every day I’m challenging myself to do something I haven’t done. Learn something I didn’t know. I encourage the people in my circle to strive for greatness for them, and not for anyone else.

I challenge you to ask yourself, “What role do I want to have in the lives of those connected to me?” Do you want to keep them stagnant, set them backward, or push them towards greatness? The way you choose to live your life determines the role you will serve in the lives of others. There’s no escaping it. Whether you want to or not you have the power of unintentional influence. There are too many people watching you. So choose to be GREAT. Blessings.
